The Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating after a man’s body was found on the access road to Abasand Wednesday morning.
The body has been identified as John Bradley Healey, a 36-year-old resident of Fort McMurray.
An autopsy determined the death was homicide and not a random act.
Police are asking anyone who may have knowledge of this incident, or who may have seen anything unusual, to contact them at 780-788-4040.
If anyone has any surveillance footage of any suspicious activity recorded on July 13 between midnight and 5:40 a.m. they are being asked to share the video footage with police.
