RCMP and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Fire Department responded to a Ford F150 truck that was on fire near Johnson Bay and Dominion Drive, in Timberlea on June 15 around 3 o’clock in the morning.
An unknown male suspect broke the window, threw an object in the vehicle and lit it on fire. Police can confirm the suspect approached the area from Millenium Drive and fled back that way.
The vehicle was unoccupied, and no injuries have been reported and as a result, a nearby home sustained some damage to the siding of the house.
So far the investigation has determined the fire was caused intentionally and RCMP are seeking video surveillance footage from people in the area.
