Unemployment in the region increased for the third straight month.
Statistics Canada is reporting that the number slightly rose from 6.4 per cent in May to 6.5 per cent in June.
Roughly, 400 jobs were lost in the Wood Buffalo-Cold Lake region throughout last month.
Provincially, the unemployment rate also increased from 6.2 to 6.5 per cent.
The national unemployment rate is 6.0 per cent.
