The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) Annual Golf Tournament raised $25,760 in support of the Northern Lights Health Foundation (NLHF).

This marks the fifth year that CIM has chosen the NLHF as their charity of choice.

“The Oil Sands Branch chooses to raise money for the Northern Lights Health Foundation as health is the foundation of a strong community. This year, as a result of our dedicated members, our Branch was able to match the first $5,000 raised through the tournament!” says Isaac Bussin, Chair of the CIM Oil Sands Branch. “We’re thrilled to have set a new record of funds raised through our annual tournament!”

The sold-out tournament saw 144 golfers who enjoyed a day on the course, dinner and networking.

Cindy Amerongen, executive director of the NLHF said third party fundraisers are crucial in funding health care innovation in our region.
