Saturday’s heavy rainfall has caused road closures in the Gregoire area of the RMWB.
As of 5 p.m. Gregoire Dr. at Highway 63 and, approximately 500 metres north of Grandview Cres. on Gregoire Dr. have been closed due to poor road conditions.
Drivers are reminded to slow down and drive with caution, avoid the use of cruise control to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and to pack a sleeping bag and emergency kit if leaving town.
Pedestrians are reminded to dress for variable weather conditions and to be seen by drivers, use cross walks when crossing the street, and avoid the use of your phone and headphones.
Road crews expect these road closures to remain in effect until later tonight (Saturday).
