A band of 30 local Greyhound agents across the province have teamed up with Coldshot Courier Services out of Edmonton to keep transit services in the province.

The transition to Coldshot will allow passenger and freight services to continue almost seamlessly after Greyhound pulls service from western Canada on Oct. 31.

A spokesperson for Greyhound said the only confirmed change for Fort McMurray is a change in location, which has yet to be determined.

By teaming up with Coldshot local agents will be able to make changes to services based on customer needs.

Transit schedules for Fort McMurray are not expected to change unless the need is presented.
