Men in the region will be able to receive a free Prostate Specific Antigen blood test on Aug. 16.
The MAN VAN will be at ATB Financial, 11 Hanieault St. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The blood test helps in the early detection of prostate cancer by determining the amount of Prostate Specific Antigen in the bloodstream.
No appointment is necessary and all men between the ages of 40 and 80 are encouraged to be tested.
One in seven men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime.
The MAN VAN is operated by the Prostate Cancer Centre, a non-profit focused on early detection and treatment of prostate cancer.
