Crews clean oil spill on HWY 63 near Grassland

Crews are working to clean an oil spill on Highway 63 after a semi truck hauling crude oil lost control and rolled.

The westbound semi rolled into the north ditch two km east of Grassland and leaked around 100L of crude oil.

HAZMAT crews have been called in to assist with the clean up and fire services from Grassland have been on scene.

The driver of the semi, a 46 year old man, has been transported to hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and road users can expect minor delays while crews work to clean the spill and collision scene.
