Trevor Powder was found guilty of second degree murder on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.
Powder, 23, was originally charged with first degree murder for the 2015 death of Tyler McDermid.
He is now facing a life sentence with a chance of parole after anywhere between 10 to 25 years.

The parole hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2018.
