A public hearing for Teck’s proposed Frontier Oil Sands project starts Tuesday.

The Joint Review Panel, made of the Alberta Energy Regulator and Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, will go over its Environmental Impact Assessment of the proposed project.

The hearing also gives Indigenous groups, governments, environmental groups and others the opportunity to question the project and the Environmental Impact Assessment.

The hearing will start at 9 a.m. at MacDonald Island in the Miskanaw Ballroom and will continue until Oct. 27.

A portion of the hearing is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 15-20 in Fort Chipewyan to accommodate requests by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation and the Mikisew Cree First Nation.

If you can’t make it to any of the sessions you can watch via the Alberta Energy Regulator’s video or audio streams.
