UPDATE: Canada-wide warrant issued in relation to Ontario death

A woman wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, whose last known address was Fort McMurray, has been arrested.

Jessica Morrison, 41, was wanted under several charges in relation to the death of Danielle Barham, 23, of Ontario.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services responded to a call for a female in medical distress on July 18, 2017.

Barham, who was going through opioid withdrawal treatment, was transported to hospital where she died on July 20, 2017.

Morrison was arrested at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Nov. 14 and charged with criminal negligence causing death, six counts of trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of selling a prescription drug recklessly.

She appeared in an Ontario courtroom on Nov. 15, was released and is expected to appear again on Dec. 13.
