Winter Maintenance Zones (WMZ) and on-street parking restrictions will be active when five centimeters of snow falls and accumulates on roads.
To avoid being ticketed and towed this winter, find out when your zone will be activated, notifications will be given via the municipality’s website and through street signage.
Residents should always expect the zone to be active on their scheduled date, in the event that not enough snow has accumulated on the ground, the zone will be relaxed.
Once WMZs are active, on-street parking will not be available for one day a week in each of the five zones from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to facilitate snow plowing and other routine maintenance.
Crews will start to bring out equipment for training, testing, checking plowing routes and assessing safety hazards. Motorists are advised to follow road equipment from a safe stopping distance and to allow space for visibility.
