RBC makes $30,000 donation to Keyano College Emerging Artist Project

The project gives emerging artists access to technology, staff and other resources to help them find work in their field.

Theater and arts graduates from Keyano College will be getting more support thanks to a $30,000 donation from RBC to the Keyano College Emerging Artist Project.

The project gives emerging artists access to technology, staff and other resources to help them find work in their field.

“This is an exciting project that delivers real benefits for emerging artists, for our community, and for our theatre programming,” said Alan Roberts, Director, Keyano Theatre and Arts Centre. “We are extremely grateful for RBC’s support.”

Through the project, the artists are also able to build experience and launch their careers while being able to support other artists in the community and participate in upcoming theatre and arts programming.

“RBC is proud to support the Keyano College Emerging Artist Project. Together, we’re taking one more step towards our goal of bridging the gap between emerging and established artists in communities where we live and work,” said Tana LeBlanc, community manager of RBC Fort McMurrray.  “RBC’s support of the arts has been a long-standing priority as we recognize that the arts play an important role in building vibrant communities and strong economies

The funding will also help the college hire and support more emerging artists who will be able to further study design, costume, set, lighting, stage management and directing.
