A 23-year-old male from Chard, Alta has been arrested and is facing several charges after police responded to a suspicious person incident.
Allegedly on Oct. 21, 2018 around 6:30 p.m. Alstair Janvier was seen going through the yard of a home in Waterways near the the intersection of Huggard Street and Hugues Avenue.
The investigation revealed he has entered a house nearby, stole a crossbow and shot another home.
It is also speculated that he was in a stolen vehicle that later caught fire.
The stolen property was recovered and no injuries were reported.
As a result, Janvier is being charged with four counts of mischief, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, assault with a weapon, breaking and entering with intent and possession of a controlled substance.
He will appear in Court on Nov. 7, 2018.
