The Tuccaro Group has donated $250,000 to the Northern Lights Health Foundations Gratitude Campaign‘s Minimally Invasive Surgical Suites Project.

The $7.6 million dollar MIS project is the largest initiative of the gratitude campaign and  will upgrade four operating rooms to state-of-the-art operating theatres that will create an optimal operating environment allowing surgeons to be more precise and giving patience a faster recovery.

In a press release Dave Tuccaro, founder, president and CEO of the Tuccaro Group, stated why they wanted to make the donation.

I was a Director on the very first Northern Lights Health Foundation Board and today remain an Honorary Member. We have deep roots here in this region, and it doesn’t matter where you are from, if you are here you are going to need to use our hospital at some time. I know my employees and their families use the healthcare system here and don’t want to have to go elsewhere to receive the care they need.”

Once the MIS project is fully funded an additional 500  surgeries can be performed at our local hospital every year.

“We all aspire to create the health care programs and services we want right here in Wood Buffalo. Leaders like Dave Tuccaro and the Tuccaro Group are bringing us closer to the completion of the campaign, and that means we are closer to making the Gratitude projects a reality,” said Cindy Amerongen, executive director of the NLHF in the release.
