Our region’s housing market has continued to stabilize with lower selling prices, fewer listings and more sales.

A three-year report, which includes Lac La Biche, released by Fort McMurray REALTORS® shows selling prices have lowered across the board. Mobile With Land properties saw the biggest fall with the average selling price at $217,056 compared to $366,125 this time last year.

As for the number of units sold based on their price, sales have increased in most price ranges compared to 2017, which could be related to the sale of properties post-wildfire tied in with a continuous decline in selling price.

Along with lower prices, listings also saw a decrease of 16.29 per cent compared to this time in 2016.

While the number of listings decreased year over year, the number of sales have gone up by 16.7 per cent with 1062 homes sold so far this year and only 823 sold in the same period of 2016.

Single family detached homes have seen little change in price compared to last year with a decrease of only 0.87 per cent.

Currently there are 598 listings in Fort McMurray, Saprae Creek, Gregoire Lake and Anzac.
