A 911 call in Timberlea on Nov. 25 led to the arrest of a 19-year old Fort McMurray man.

Wood Buffalo RCMP received a call from a man asking for help around 10:30 p.m. at a home near Leitner Gate and Lougheed Dr.

Upon arrival, General Duty and Integrated Traffic Units found a man who didn’t appear injured.

While clearing the house, police found a significant amount of controlled substances, leading police to request a search warrant.

As a result of the search, 57.6 grams of suspected cocaine, 250 ml of suspected liquid GHB and drug paraphernalia was seized.

Abdelqader Ibrahim Kanash was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and failure to comply with a condition of a recognizance.
