Second annual Handlebar Hockey 24-hour tournament raised $25,901 for Movember

The second annual Handlebar Hockey 24-hour Hockey game in support of Movember Canada raised $25,901.

The Movember Foundation of Canada put together a mini-documentary of the event that is now one of the largest annual fundraisers for the foundation in Canada.

Clinton Bretecher, organizer of the event, is already planning third tournament and with fundraising to start before November.

“We’re planning a 24 inning slow pitch game and the funds that we raise in that event are going to go towards our initiative in the fall, said Bretecher.”

The mini-documentary highlights the game at the Casman Centre and why the players feel its so important to raise awareness and money for men’s health.
