Northland School Division (NSD) has removed an employee after an incident involving a student.
In an email, NSD confirmed a bus monitor for Anzac Community School wrote a letter “expressing his feelings to a young girl.”
The bus monitor was on an afternoon school bus run on Dec. 13 to ensure the safety of the students.
Once NSD was made aware of the incident, the employee was immediately removed from his position and RCMP was contacted.
Family wellness workers and counsellors have been made available for staff and students.
MyMcMurray has reached out to the RCMP for comment, meanwhile NSD said it’s “reviewing to ensure all proper procedures were followed.”
