Carrie Underwood to perform as part of Summer Sounds FM

The Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) has announced that Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour will make a stop in Fort McMurray this summer as a part of the Summer Sounds FM Concert Series.

Underwood will be joined by special guests Maddie & Tae and Runaway June at the SMS Equipment Stadium at Shell Place on May 30.

Director of Events & Business Development for the RRC said Underwood is a “natural fit” for the series.

“Her talent is unmatched, her vocal range is remarkable and we can’t wait to welcome her to the community; get ready Fort McMurray!”

Underwood’s sixth studio album, Cry Pretty, debuted at the top of the of both the Billboard 200 and Top Country Album Charts. She’s sold more than over 60 million records worldwide and recorded 26 #1 singles.

The RRC announced last week that Nickelback would perform as a part of the Summer Sounds FM Concert Series on July 6.

Tickets for the May 30 show go on sale on Dec. 21 and can be purchased online or at the box office located at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre.

A dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to Danita’s Children, which helps vulnerable children in Haiti.
