PHOENIX — The Latest on a dead newborn found at an Amazon facility (all times local):

Phoenix police say investigators have located and contacted the mother of a newborn baby girl found dead in a women’s restroom inside an Amazon distribution centre.
A police statement doesn’t say whether the woman of the baby discovered Wednesday night is an Amazon employee and that her identity is being withheld.
The statement issued Thursday said the police investigation will continue in consultation with the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The massive distribution centre on the city’s southwest side is one of several Amazon sites in metro Phoenix.

Phoenix police say a newborn baby was found dead in a women’s restroom inside an Amazon distribution centre.
Sgt. Vince Lewis says the baby was found Wednesday evening and that Phoenix firefighters responded and confirmed that the baby was deceased.
Lewis says a death investigation is underway.
Amazon says in a statement it’s working with police to support their investigation and calling the incident “terribly sad and tragic.”
The massive distribution centre on the city’s southwest side is one of several Amazon sites in metro Phoenix.
The gender of the baby was not disclosed.
