There was a heavy police presence in Fort McMurray on the night of  Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.

Around 5 p.m. the Wood Buffalo RCMP received a complaint of a male brandishing firearms at a business on Franklin Avenue.

As officers were responding, they received a second complaint about the same male now in Eagle Ridge.

After setting up containment in the Stone Creek area the officers were able to arrest a male and female suspect without any incidents.  No one was injured and the public is not in any danger.

The following day the Wood Buffalo General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at the suspects residence and located two replica firearms, both designed to use either BBs or pellets.

As a result, Keith Robert Bourque, 31, and Margaret Fay Gladu, 47, are facing multiple charges.

Both were released after judicial hearings and will be appearing in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Feb. 20, 2019
