Vehicles up to 27,500 kilograms can now travel the La Loche winter trail.
Crews and equipment are still on the trail to perform maintenance. Reduce speed to 30 km/h when passing.
Since winter roads can be rough in some sections, it’s recommended that high clearance, 4×4 vehicles are used when travelling.
There are rough patches in the section east of the Christina River.
The Municipality suggests to reduce speed and drive according to conditions.
Be prepared for emergencies, as there are no regular services like road patrol, gas stations or cell phone coverage.
