The cold snap may be lifted for now, but it left behind ice and snow covered roads.
Wood Buffalo RCMP urge drivers to use extreme caution and drive according to road conditions, after reporting several collisions from this morning.
No serious injuries were reported.
Snowploughs active
As temperatures decrease in the evening, ice, and snow covered roads present hazardous conditions on roads and pathways throughout the region.
Sections of Hwy. 63 and Hwy. 881 are covered in ice, so slow down when driving near collisions, and give snowploughs room to work.
