Access to Snye Point and the adjacent parking lot is restricted until Feb. 27.
Construction continues on the Snye as crews prepare for this year’s WinterPLAY Festival. The area will reopen once equipment has been removed.
Boundaries are marked and monitored for your safety.
You can use the Raphael Cree and Tom Weber boat launches off Saline Creek Dr. to access the Clearwater River.
If you want to watch the setup you can do so from the upper east parking lot at the end of Father Mercredi St.
The festival, which includes winter-themed activities like the Shootout on the Snye hockey tournament, runs from Feb. 22 to 24.
There is also a talent show, snowshoeing, dog sled rides and more.
