The cold snaps in February couldn’t chill the love from the buyer’s market that gripped Wood Buffalo.

In a release, Fort McMurray Realtors (FMR) announced increases in sales in February 2019 compared to this time a year ago.

Sales of single-family detached homes in the RMWB were up 20 per cent from February 2018.

FMR say they are “looking forward to a busy spring market” for Fort McMurray, Saprae Creek, Gregoire Lake, and Anzac.

Buyer’s market

The RMWB saw notable increases in sales in other areas of real estate.

Sales in modular homes were up 60 per cent, apartment condominium sales increased just over eight per cent, and sales of modular homes were just above double the number sold this time last year.

FMR also reports sales of duplexes and single-family vacant lots were similar to numbers set a year ago.
