Effective Sunday at 5 p.m., the Fort Chipewyan winter road will be closed for the season.
The Municipality is closing the ice road due to warmer temperatures.
Gate access will be either closed or barricaded, and the rig mats removed as well.
Trail tips
- The current load limit on the road is 5000 kg
- Drive according to conditions and stay on the right side to give oncoming traffic plenty of room.
- The La Loche winter trail closed earlier this week
