Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (16,087.55, down 62.42 points).

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Down 10 cents, or 0.83 per cent, to $11.92 on 20.6 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Industrials. Down four cents, or 1.38 per cent, to $2.85 on 8.4 million shares.

Hexo Corp. (TSX:HEXO). Health care. Up 28 cents, or 3.58 per cent, to $8.11 on 8.1 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Energy. Down four cents, or 0.41 per cent, to $9.65 on 5.3 million shares.

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Up 13 cents, or 0.29 per cent, to $44.81 on 5.3 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurance. Down 23 cents, or 1.02 per cent, to $22.42 on 4.8 million shares.  

Companies reporting:

Air Canada (TSX:AC) Transport. Down 12 cents, or 0.37 per cent, to $31.89 on 795,000 shares. Canada’s largest airline was overwhelmed with calls as travellers scrambled to rebook flights after Ottawa joined dozens of countries in grounding the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft Wednesday. Calls to Air Canada’s customer service line Wednesday and Thursday prompted a recording that said call volume has temporarily exceeded the company’s capacity to answer or even place callers on hold.

Goldcorp Inc. (TSX:GG). Mining. Down 29 cents, or 2.59 per cent, to $10.91 on 19 million shares. Goldcorp Inc. says work at its Cerro Negro mine in Argentina has restarted following a stoppage by unionized workers at the mine. The gold miner says a conciliation process resolution has been issued by the provincial government of Santa Cruz and accepted.
