Get your stretchy pants ready.
The Fort McMurray Food Festival is returning for a third time with 12 events spaced out over 10 days including a selection of week-long events.
The festival will take place from July 19th – 28th, and all proceeds from the events will go towards supporting Waypoints, a local charity organization that works to support and assist individuals and families of domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault and homelessness through prevention, treatment, intervention and referrals.
Last year the event raised $50,000 for Waypoints.
Wood Buffalo Economic Development Corporation (WBEDC) President and CEO, Kevin Weidlich spoke at the event launch.
“Food festivals are a great way to ensure the local community engages with the restaurant and food industry… it also gives the community and residents reasons to stay home during the summer.”

- Wednesday, July 24: Fort McMurray Urban Market
- Thursday, July 25: The Annual Summer BBQ
- Thursday evening: Name That Tune
- Friday, July 26: #WeLoveYMM Largest Outdoor Patio Party
- Saturday, July 27: Taste of Fort McMurray
- Saturday evening: Boots ‘n Brews
- Sunday, July 28: The Community Breakfast
