LAS VEGAS — Paramount Pictures is getting the final day of CinemaCon off to a toe-tapping start with some footage from the Elton John musical “Rocketman.”

The studio brought out Las Vegas-worthy dancers to groove to “I’m Still Standing” before showing some energetic song and dance-filled clips from the upcoming film Thursday at the annual gathering of theatre owners and exhibitors.

Star Taron Egerton does his own singing in the film and the creators said they want to give audiences a glimpse behind the curtain of the iconic performer.

“Rocketman” hits theatres May 31.

Paramount also teased its new “Terminator” film, which is a direct sequel to James Cameron’s “T2,” and ignores other failed attempts to reboot the franchise. Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are both reprising their roles in the film.
