Roll up your sleeves for the Spring Community Cleanup

Register now for the annual Spring Community Cleanup.

The Municipality encourages everyone to show their spirit making Wood Buffalo litter-free.

10,000 volunteers of all shapes and sizes, young and old from schools and businesses participated last year.

The Municipality hopes to exceed those numbers again this year.

Sign up by adopting a section of trail or park near along a municipal roadway.

Volunteers receive cleaning supplies, yellow garbage bags and gloves.

Also, you could win one of three prizes from Home Hardware Building Centre for participating in the Pick and Click Photo Contest.

The campaign runs until May 15, 2019.

Safe cleaning tips

  • Visit your chosen site and check for possible hazards like broken glass and discarded needles.
  • Always wear gloves during cleanup.
  • Don’t clean beside the highways.
  • Be sure to wash your hands after a big cleanup.
  • Use caution around parked cars, parking lots, and roads.
