The Court of Queen’s will decide the fate of RCMP Constable Phillips on June 14, 2019.
The justice along with representatives for council agreed on the date during this morning’s proceedings.
Const. Michelle Phillips was not present for today’s hearing.
She pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Background
On the night of Aug. 21, 2016, Constable Michelle Phillips was responding to a report of a collision with a pedestrian along Hwy 881 south of Anzac.
The Crown alleges she struck the already injured pedestrian, 41-year-old Tracy Janvier, and the hand of another man, 74-year-old James Cardinal.
Janvier would succumb to his injuries.
