Carnival season is upon us, but the lights, sounds, and crowds are too much for some children to handle.

Fortunately, there is an event just for children with special needs and their families.

The Child and Family Foundation (CFF), partnered with myWorld Canada and Autism Society Alberta, hosts “Angel for a Day” this Saturday.

The private event provides children with special needs the opportunity to enjoy some safe and fun activities.

Furthermore, they can meet up with other kids with autism and their families in their community.

myWorld Canada managing director, James Malliaros, says this is one small way to provide children with a positive experience.

“The Child and Family Foundation and the Angel for a Day initiative are committed to making a positive impact in children’s lives across the world and are dedicated to supporting our local communities.”

The “Angel for a Day” event is in recognition of Autism Awareness Month.

The event takes place at the Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club from 10-3 p.m. on April 27, 2019.

Furthermore, it features activities like a Dino Dig, Mess Zone, Egg Hunt, a Bouncy Castle and a Sensory Toy area.
