Timberlea pair face drug possession and child endangerment charges

Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested and charged two people with numerous offenses, including child endangerment.

ALERT executed a search warrant at a Timberlea residence on April 17, 2019.

Police seized 151 grams of cocaine, 78 grams of MDMA powder, 389 grams of cannabis, and $33,230 in cash proceeds of crime.

The pair also face charges under the province’s Drug Endangered Children Act.

During the investigation, police found a young child at the residence.

They notified Alberta Children’s Services.

To protect the identity of the child, ALERT will not release the identities of those charged.

ALERT charged a 32-year old and a 23-year old with child endangerment and two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The pair face charges of possession of proceeds of crime and possession of cannabis for the purpose of unauthorized sale.

In a separate investigation, ALERT also reported another drug bust involving a 25-year-old male in Eagle Ridge.
