Olympic officials will be in Fort McMurray on May 4 looking for raw Olympic talent.

If you’re an athlete between 14 and 25 you’re encouraged to sign up for RBC Training Ground at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre.

Whether you play traditional or non-traditional sport, the event gives you the chance to test your strength, speed, power and endurance in front of officials, including bobsleigh gold medallist Justin Kripps.

If you have what it takes, you’ll start one on one testing and could be one of the top 100 discovered athletes invited to the first RBC Training Ground national final, which will be held in Calgary.

Up to 30 athletes will be selected as RBC Future Olympians and will receive funding and resources.

The free event is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

RBC Training Ground has tested 5,500 athletes and dedicated $1.3 million in funding to support 80 athletes found through the program.
