Women in Fort McKay age 50-74 will be able to have a mammogram without having to travel.

A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast and has proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer and early detection provides more treatment options and a greater chance of survival.

The Alberta Health Services Screen Test program will be stationing a mobile mammography trailer at the Dorothy McDonald Business Centre on June 3 and 4.

To book a screening or learn more about the program call 1-800-667-0604.
