The question of which winter games will be part of the 2022 Arctic Winter Games in Wood Buffalo has been answered.
The Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC) announced which disciplines Wood Buffalo would host in March of 2022.
AWGIC President John Flynn says the Games has a solid reputation for competitive play.
βThe Arctic Winter Games have enjoyed a good track record of providing participants with meaningful competition in a safe and respectful environment but we need to be proactive with host organizations, our participating contingents and others to ensure this continues and improves.β
Organizers anticipate almost 2100 athletes, coaches, delegates, and volunteers to visit Wood Buffalo for the Games.
