A new month means new opportunities for communities to bloom.

Therefore, Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom invites residents to Snye Park on June 1, 2019, for some gardening.

The non-profit organization is celebrating 25 years beautifying our region.

Plus, those attending can also participate in the seed buffet.

The seed buffet lets residents walk away with seed samples for their home gardens.

Joanne Fisher, chair for Communities in Bloom, suggests bringing along an egg carton to store your complimentary seeds.

“This event is a great way to get out and meet people who are interested in gardening. Remember to bring gloves, a small shovel, and plenty of sunscreen and water.”

Fisher adds Saturday afternoon will be a fun opportunity to increase the beauty of Snye Park.

The gardening event runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
