The Municipality welcomes volunteers to apply on the board of directors of the 2022 Arctic Winter Games Host Society.

Nicole Bourque-Bouchier, the co-chair for the Host Society, says it’s a worthwhile opportunity to be a part of a significant community event.

“We are going to deliver an experience that the athletes, coaches, parents and visitors to our region will remember for a lifetime.”

The Municipality formed the Host Society to plan all aspects of the 2022 Arctic Winter Games.

Furthermore, the Host Society must fulfil the requirements outlined in the hosting contract and AWG Staging Manual.

Fellow co-chair Melissa Blake looks forward to organizing the full group.

“An event of this magnitude requires a great deal of planning and we are looking forward to getting started.”

Wood Buffalo won the bid to host the 2022 Arctic Winter Games on February 6, 2019.
