A pair of Anzac schools were the target of threats yesterday afternoon.
Bill Woodward School and Anzac Community School notified Wood Buffalo RCMP of the threats at 12:30 p.m.
The threats prompted an immediate investigation.
Meanwhile, as a safety precaution, both schools went on lockdown.
During their swift investigation, police located an individual near school grounds.
Wood Buffalo RCMP took that individual into custody without incident.
Since then, the schools lifted the lockdown.
The investigation is ongoing, although police haven’t laid charges at this time.
