Construction season is well underway in the city.

New Woosh bus stops are being made in Thickwood Boulevard in front of the Casman Centre and on Confederation Way on the corner of Paquette Drive, by the RCMP Detachment.

The project was originally announced in Nov. 2017 and is being funded through federal and provincial grants and built on property already owned by the RMWB.

There will be room for seven buses to utilize the terminals, heated passenger shelters, sidewalks along the area, fencing and additional lighting for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The work should be done by the fall school season to create new and enhanced transit routes.

The RMWB is also working on improving the transit system through technology.

At a council meeting in March 2019 a motion was put forward to work on getting a transit app for Woosh riders.
