The Municipality released their schedule for the annual Canada Day Parade.
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at Clearwater Drive and Riedel Street, proceeds along Franklin Avenue and ends at Morrison Street.
As with any parade, there are various street closures along the route.
However, those streets will re-open once the parade safely passes.
Organizers closed Clearwater Drive in the westbound lane from Main St. to Riedel St. from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
That’s the staging area for parade organizers, floats, and volunteers.
However, the eastbound lane on Clearwater Drive will serve as temporary 2-way traffic.
Drivers should proceed with caution as there will be a lot of activity.
Road closures
Riedel Street from Clearwater Drive to Franklin Avenue is closed from 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Also, Franklin Avenue remains closed from Riedel Street to Morrison Street from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Finally, Morrison Street from Franklin Avenue to Clearwater Drive is closed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
These roads will re-open once the parade passes.
Transit service will run on the statutory holiday schedule on Canada Day.
