United Way raised $43,000 during Summer Sounds FM

United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo raised $43,000 through 50/50 raffles during the Summer Sounds FM concert series.

Jo-Anne Packham, director of community impact and development, said the money will be invested back into the community through United Way agencies and initiatives.

“The funds raised will be used to help thousands of individuals and families in our community,” said Packham “We are ecstatic with the amount of participation from the community.”

The winner from the Carrie Underwood concert took home $13,650.

The winner from Nickelback won $13,955 and the winner from Bryan Adams took home $16,013.
