Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta has announced that zombies will invade somewhere new this September.

Program Coordinator with Girls Inc., Jenna Hamilton said this year’s zombie run is moving from the Birchwood Trails to Waterways.

While the race itself has changed, Hamilton said the cause is still the same.

“All of the money raised will go to help support the United Way as well as Girls Inc., so we can continue to deliver free programming to girls in the RMWB.”

Also new this year is an early bird registration for $25 before Aug. 31. After that registration is $35.

The race will have runners wearing three flags, for each flag still in place at the end of the race, runners will receive a ticket to be entered into a raffle prize draw.

Extra flags will be available for $20 along the route.

For every $10 in pledges raised, participants will receive one ticket to be entered into a draw.

Additional lives will be given to those who raise at least $150 in pledges.

Take part as a runner, zombie or volunteer on Sept. 7.
