Man facing charges for assault and robbing a Timberlea home with a gun

This article has been updated. An earlier version of this story may have been unclear that Adam Ross is accused of committing the crimes for which he is charged.

Adam Ross, 27, of Fort McMurray, is facing charges after he is alleged to have broken into a Timberlea residence and assaulted a victim with a gun.  The incident occurred on Aug. 1, 2019 around 11:10 a.m., according to police.

Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a 911 call from the victim, made after the suspect left. The victim was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.

Ross is now facing the following charges:

  • Break & Enter to a residence
  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon when knowing possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order
  • Fail to comply with a recognizance

 

He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Aug. 19, 2019.
