‘Tis the season for maintenance at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre (SCLC)
Different amenities will close starting next week, so staff and construction crews can make any necessary repairs.
The annual cleaning of the Syncrude Aquatic Centre begins Monday, August 19, 2019.
It should re-open on September 23.
The front entrance to the SCLC will also close temporarily beginning August 19.
Patrons may access and exit the building using the side entrance across from Miskanaw Golf Club.
The Shell Place East entrance is also available.
On-The-Go maintenance
The Fitness Centre will also shut down for a couple of days on August 23.
New cardio equipment and repairs to existing devices should occur over the weekend.
Also, the Running Track is closed on August 25.
Located on the third floor of the SCLC, crews will spend the day fixing up the track.
Therefore, take a rest day and read a book or two at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library.
