Wood Buffalo RCMP are looking for 30-year-old Jeffrey Derrick Hefferan.
Hefferan faces multiple firearm-related charges stemming from a search warrant on August 17, 2019
Armed and dangerous
On the day in question, Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant for a Cowley Bay residence.
The search resulted in the seizure of firearms, ammunition, and a silencer.
Officers received assistance from the Emergency Response Team, Crime Reduction Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), Police Dog Service and General Duty officers.
Police arrested 34-year-old Catlin Moores for seven outstanding warrants at the residence.
Police also arrested two adult women at the scene.
Jeffrey Hefferan remains at large.
Hefferan is five feet nine inches tall and 155 lbs. with brown hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on both arms.
Wood Buffalo RCMP charged Hefferan with two counts each of possession of a firearm without a license, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
There is also another charge of possession of a loaded and prohibited firearm.
RCMP consider Hefferan armed and dangerous, so don’t approach him.
