The McMurray Métis host their annual Infinity Golf Tournament Wednesday at the Miskinaw Golf Club.
This year’s tournament raised a record $165,500 to support local Métis students’ post-secondary education.
“At this year’s Traditional Celebration of Achievement Grad, there were a record 152 Indigenous Students. Those young adults are all looking for further post-secondary education and turn to programs like the McMurray Métis bursary program,” said Gail Gallupe, McMurray Métis President.
Over the tournament’s 19 years, more than 400 students have received over $1.2 million in bursaries.
