Conklin resident threatened, robbed during break-in

Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested the 31-year-old man on August 29, 2019.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. on August 29, RCMP responded to a break and enter, and theft in a Conklin residence.

Police said Sheldon Tremblay broke into the residence and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle.

After threatening but not physically harming the victim, Tremblay fled the scene using the victim’s vehicle.

Wood Buffalo RCMP soon located and apprehended Tremblay without further incident.

Police arrested and charged Tremblay with break and enter, robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He also faces charges of vehicular theft, flight from a peace officer, and three counts of failure to comply with a recognizance.

Sheldon Tremblay remains in police custody.

He’s due in provincial court on September 3, 2019.
