Wood Buffalo RCMP suspect an attempted arson at the River City Centre in downtown Fort McMurray.
Police responded to an alarm call from a business inside the shopping plaza at 1:30 a.m. on August 24, 2019.
Once inside, they found the front door to the business broken in and burnt.
They also found the sprinkler system activated.
Later, the fire department arrived and secured the area.
RCMP suspect arson at this time as this was not an accidental fire.
